Have you ever gone to an app or a website and tried logging in just to be met by an error? Most of the errors would say that your email or password you have entered is incorrect. No matter how many times you believe you put in the correct information, it will not log you into the account. You would have to go through many steps just to fix or change your password. This mostly occurs when the login information that you input is incorrect, which is usually a typo error or using the wrong email, but there have been circumstances when the app or website will not accept your login information. According to research, “45% of all customers had multiple registrations in the system, 160,000 people requested their password every day, and 75% of these people never completed the purchase they started once they requested their password (Nick Babich, 2016).” Doing all of this is a very time consuming process, and this shows just how many people have trouble logging into their software systems or apps that need their login information.

There are quite a few solutions that can be used to fix your login information. The first solution is to remember your login information, which would be the simplest method out of all of these. A way to keep track of your login information would be to write or type it down in a place you would remember it. This allows you the chance to find your information, instead of having to go through the process of resetting. Next solution would be to reset your password, which is statically what many people tend to choose. That process starts from you choosing the option to reset your password, where you then have to enter your email. Then you have to go to your email, find and click a link, then proceed to choose a new password that replaces the old one. Another solution suggested by Nick Babich is allowing sign-ins from different apps. Many apps and websites allow you to login under your Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter accounts instead of you creating an account with an email and password (Nick Babich, 2019). One of the newer solutions, which comes from the use of the camera, is Face ID. This makes logging into your account so much easier than anything previously. When you open the app or website, it will automatically scan your face, and input your login information in the device and login you into the account. This saves you the extra work of inputting your information manually, and having the chance to type in incorrect information.
